When asked him the reason of building a power station in MGM hospital, the director of MGM hospital was blunt: As MGM is a multi-specialty hospital, there is a huge consumption of power round the clock particularly for HVAC system and various diagnosing equipments. Rising cost of the commercial electricity rates was another reason for opting for solar plant. Subsidy from the Central Government assistance program came as an icing on the cake. This made the plant more viable and they are expecting to have a payback in 5-6 years with decent ROI.
