Chandigarh, Sep 29 – In a major administrative re-shuffle, the Punjab government tonight transferred 35 officers, including 21 IAS officials, with immediate effect.

An official spokesman said Karan Bir Singh Sidhu has been posted as special chief secretary of Social Security and Development of Women and Children.

Vinni Mahajan has been appointed additional chief secretary of Housing, Urban Development and Revenue and Rehabilitation.

Anirudh Tiwari will be principal secretary Finance, Renewable Energy Resources and Planning, while A Venuprasad has been posted as principal secretary Power, chairman cum managing director Punjab State Transmission Corporation and Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and Irrigation, the spokesperson said.

Rakesh Kumar Verma has been posted as secretary Industries, Commerce, Information and Technology and chief executive officer of Punjab Bureau of Investment.

Vikas Pratap has been posted as secretary Medical Education and Research, while D K Tiwari goes as secretary Expenditure as well as managing director, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board, he said.

Kahan Singh Pannu has been posted as chairman of Punjab State Pollution Control Board whereas V K Meena is the new secretary Revenue and Rehabilitation and in addition commissioner of Patiala and Roopnagar Division.

Dipinder Singh has been posted as secretary Revenue and Rehabilitation and commissioner Gurdwara Elections and secretary Elections, the spokesperson said.

Rajat Aggarwal goes as managing director of Punjab Small Industries Export Corporation and in addition additional chief executive officer of Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, he said.

Abhinav has been posted as managing director of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and special secretary expenditure, he added.
