40 Glorious Year of NTPC; Celebrated generation Day at Mother Plant – EQ Mag Pro
The glorious and dedicated beginning of power generation of NTPC limited started in Singrauli on 13th February 1982 has yielded results and paved the way for many landmark achievements bringing the company to its present stature.
Singrauli: National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, known as NTPC Limited on February 13, 2022, celebrated its glorious 40 years at Mother Plant, Flagship Station Singrauli.
The celebration was marked with a cake cutting ceremony in Unit 1 control room and followed by Puja on this gracious occasion at Seva Bhawan in Plant premises.
The largest power company in India started the power generation in Singrauli on 13th February 1982, yielded results, and paved the way for many landmark achievements bringing the company to its present stature.
The First three 200 MW Units at Singrauli were commissioned in 1982-83 on schedule amid challenges and problems. This was a benchmark in a sector known for time and cost overruns and commissioning slippages.
Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC Ltd appreciated the performance of 40 years young Unit 1 which secured 1st position in FY 20-21 among all NTPC units and 2nd position in All India with a PLF of 100.40%, Unit# 4 3rd position in FY 20-21 among all NTPC units with a PLF of 99.01% and 1st position in monthly PLF in September’ 21 amongst all NTPC Stations with 94.65%.
On this historical occasion, Shri Ramesh V Babu, Director (Operation), Shri Debashish Sen, RED (North), Shri A K Tripathi, ED (Operation Services), Shri Chilakapati Sivakumar, ED (Safety), Shri Manish Kumar Srivastava, ED (Engg), Shri Basuraj Goswami, CGM (Singrauli), Shri S C Naik, CGM (Vindhyachal), Shri D Paul, CGM (Rihand) and other senior official were also present.
