800 years old village electrified in in Ladakh

Over 800 years old village Itchu in Ladakh region has been electrified for the first time using solar micro grids. The village is now powered by six DC Solar micro grids comprising three grids of 250 watts and three grids of 100 watts. The electrification of the village just like a well electrified twon is done with the help of of 156 LED lights powered by these grids .
The total cost of the project is 12 lakh rupees including transportation and installations.
