GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (GCL) recently received certifications from Brazil’s National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) and the Standards Institution of Israel (SII) for its photovoltaic (PV) modules. The testing for the certifications was undertaken by globally renowned certification services provider TUV Rheinland. GCL has, since listing on China’s A-share market in 2015, been strengthening its efforts in product development and expanding outside of its home market. The Inmetro and SII certifications not only demonstrate GCL’s research and development capabilities as well as the prowess of its key technologies, but also establish a robust foundation for introducing its products into South America and the Middle East.
South America and the Middle East are becoming two major export destinations for global PV module manufacturers. As a provider of one-stop, green and comprehensive energy system integration services, GCL has been expanding its presence in the PV module manufacturing market since last year. In 2015, the company’s PV module shipments exceeded 2GW, ranking the firm sixth among PV module manufacturers worldwide. With its strong capabilities in product R&D, GCL developed its proprietary Sapphire double-wafer (P3/72) and high-density (P2/72), we well as super Sapphire and other high-efficiency modules, which are recognized for their lower electrical loss and higher power output. The Sapphire double-wafer module production line has an initial annual production capacity of 450MW, with each unit featuring a power output exceeding 335W. The Sapphire high-density module has been used in GCL’s power station projects. GCL also provides other high-efficiency modules, including double-wafer modules, a complete range of 1500V modules and black silicon modules.
GCL plans to attend the upcoming Intersolar South America (Booth: D12) where it will exhibit its PV modules that meet the demand and certification requirements for the Brazilian market, including the polycrystal GCLP6/60 (with a maximum power of 270W) and GCLP6/72 (with a maximum power of 325W) as well as the Sapphire series. One of GCL’s goals for the event is to showcase its new home energy storage system E-KwBe launched in May of 2016.In addition to the Inmetro and SII certifications, GCL has received Europe’s TUV, North America’s UL1703, Japan’s JET, Australia’s CEC, the UK’s MCS, California’s CEC in addition to several other global certifications since last year, immensely helping the company in its global expansion efforts.
