MG ZS EV bookings have commenced in India, to be available in 5 cities initially.
After tasting good success from their first product Hector, MG Motor is now betting big on their second car. The MG ZS EV will be their first electric vehicle in India.
The MG ZS EV bookings have commenced in 5 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The electric vehicle will be available initially in these cities and will gradually be introduced in other cities.
The booking amount of the ZS EV is Rs. 50,000/-. The first 1000 customers will get a special introductory price. The car can be booked online as well on the official website of the company.
The carmaker will install an AC fast charger at home/office of the owners. It takes around 6-8 hours for a full charge. They will also setup DC Super-Fast charging network across select MG dealerships for customers. It takes only 50 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
If any customer runs out of charge, MG will provide charge-on-the-go roadside assistance. The carmaker claims that running cost of the MG ZS EV is around Rs. 1 per km. It will compete with the Hyundai Kona electric SUV.
