Aquila renewables fund seeks to raise 150 million euros for further investments

LONDON: Aquila European Renewables Income Fund PLC AERS.L said on Thursday it plans fundraising of around 150 million euros (136.41 million pounds)for further investments via the issuance of 145 million shares which will close on Oct. 8.
The London-listed company, advised by Aquila Capital, has a portfolio of six renewable energy assets including five onshore wind parks located in the Nordic region and 21 hydropower plants in Portugal.
The fundraising will help the company to invest in future projects and to diversify its portfolio, it said.
