Final Tender issued – Rooftop solar PV power project of 16.65 MW across 17 cities in Odisha
The Government of Odisha (GoO), with a view to develop a market for rooftop solar projects and with the objective of promoting solar energy in Odisha, has decided to undertake the development of grid connected rooftop solar PV power plants (Facilities) with a proposed capacity of 16.653 MW (Project Capacity) on buildings specified by the GoO (GoO Buildings) in the cities of Hirakud, Rourkela, Baripada, Burla, Balasore, Sambalpur, Balangir, Bhadrak, Bhubaneswar, Nabrangpur, Jeypore, Koraput, Sunabeda, Brahmapur, Chatrapur, Khurda, and Puri (Target Cities) through the public private partnership (PPP) route on a BOO basis including O&M for 25 years.
GEDCOL is a 100% subsidiary of the Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (a state public sector undertaking) and has been designated as the principal implementation agency for conducting the Bid Process and GRIDCO Limited shall be the off-taker of power generated from the Project under gross metering arrangement. The Solar Company shall also be granted an Incentive [INR 13,750/kW] or [INR 6,875/kW] as per the terms of the Project Agreements.
