Coal India’s environment and sustainable efforts in and around its operations.
New Delhi: Shri. B. Veera Reddy, Director – Technical, Coal India Ltd., launched “Leaving Green Footprints”, a booklet showcasing the environment and sustainable efforts of Coal India Ltd. in and around its operations. Shri. B. Sairam, ED (CD/Welfare), CIL & Shri. Shankar C Subramanian, GM – Environment, CIL were present on the occasion.
The publication documents the initiatives undertaken by CIL, including the use of clean coal technologies, First Mile Connectivity, Coal Bed Methane, Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER), Afforestation, Ecological Parks, Vriksharopan Abhiyan, and roadmap for plantations to enable carbon neutrality in the next five years.
