LONGi bags 32.89% share in Yimeixu Zhixin; Trina signs 2 GW PV projects contract with Yunnan; JinkoSolar among CR Power procurement bid winners; and PowerChina’s new energy branch wins 2nd phase bid of the 300 MW PV EPC project.
LONGi invests in Yimeixu Zhixin Energy: Vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi Solar announced that it has invested in PV intelligent digital solutions provider, Yimeixu Zhixin Energy Technology. LONGi holds 32.89% shares and is now the company’s second largest shareholder. This move will enable LONGi to further enhance its technical research and development capabilities, and market competitiveness in the field of PV modules.
Trina & Yunnan partner for 2 GW PV projects: The People’s Government of Zhanyi District said that it has signed a 2 GW PV manufacturing project, and a ground PV power generation project with solar module and solar tracker manufacturer Trina Solar. The total investment is estimated to be RMB 9 billion ($1.42 billion). On completion, the annual output will be about RMB 5 billion ($ 0.79 billion) and will give job opportunities to about 400 people. Just few days back, Trina Solar and SPIC had got together to form a joint venture for new power projects.
CR Power announces procurement bid winners: Wind and hydropower plant operator China Resources Power announced the bid winners for centralized procurement of modules and equipment for the third batch of PV projects, according to local media reports. The scale of procurement this time is for 3 GW, and was divided into four bidding Sections of 500 MW, 1,000 MW, 500 MW and 1,000 MW respectively. The winner of Section 1 was JinkoSolar with a price of RMB 1.84/W ($0.29/W); Akcome Technology won Section 2 and Section 4 bids with prices RMB 1.80/W ($0.28/W) and RMB 1.82/W ($0.29/W) respectively; Section 3 was won by DZS Solar for a price of RMB 1.84/W ($0.29/W).
PowerChina wins 2nd phase bid of 300 MW PV EPC project: Power construction corporation PowerChina announced that its New Energy branch has won the bid for the second phase of a 300 MW EPC project in Pei County. The project scope includes developing a 110 kV booster station, a 300 MW photovoltaic power station, construction and installation works related to the power transmission line. Recently, PowerChina had announced the beginning of the construction of 10 New Energy projects.
