Germany’s PNE sells 81MWp solar project in Romania to Israel’s Ecoenergy – EQ Mag Pro

BUCHAREST (Romania): German developer of wind farms PNE said on Monday it has sold a photovoltaic project in Romania with a total nominal output of around 81 megawatts peak (MWp) to Israeli company Econergy International Ltd.

The project is located in Oradea, western Romania, and was developed to construction maturity and then sold, PNE said in a press release, without disclosing the price of the transaction.

Now, Econergy International will take over the further realization of the project, the company added.

In July, PNE announced that it has sold the rights to three wind farm projects in Romania to an unnamed global renewable energy company for an undisclosed price.

Cuxhaven-based PNE is developing wind farms on land and at sea, and it is also active in photovoltaics, electricity storage and clean electricity supply. The company opened a branch in Romania in 2008, according to its website.
