Government launches SLNP and AJAY to install smart, energy efficient LED street lights and solar street lights across the country – EQ Mag Pro

Street Light National program (SLNP) was launched by the Government in January 2015 to replace conventional street lights with smart and energy efficient LED street lights in the municipal sector across the country. Atal Jyoti Yojana (AJAY) Phase-II which provides for installation of solar street lights in remote, rural and semi-urban areas, was launched in December, 2018.

This information was given by Shri R.K Singh, Union Minister for Power and MNRE in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
