New Delhi: Under the Green Highway Mission, NHAI signed an MoU with Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission. The initiative will involve Self Help Groups for planation of trees and shrubs in the vacant spaces along the National Highways in Assam.
Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), is an Assam Govt initiative for promotion of sustainable livelihood in rural areas. The Mission empowers rural women Self Help Groups (SHGs) with capacity building, credit linkage and market support. All products produced by these SHGs are sold under the brand name ‘ASOMI’.
