Sungrow Showcases Inverters at Solar & Off-grid Renewables | Solar Finance & Investment Southeast Asia 2016
Sungrow, the world’s largest PV inverter manufacturer, showcased its SG60KTL and SG50KTL-M model string inverters, at Solar & Off-grid Renewables | Solar Finance & Investment Southeast Asia 2016. Sungrow’s SG60KTL and SG50KTL-M string inverters—featuring 99% maximum efficiency, 4 MPPT’s, a 1.3 DC/AC ratio (up to 1.4 for the SG60KTL)—are specially designed for distributed solar farms and commercial rooftops. Since entering Thailand’s PV market in 2014, Sungrow has deployed nearly 350MW of PV inverters all across the country. With a rapidly growing local sales and engineering team, Sungrow has evolved into a major technology provider for the Thai PV industry, having captured over 40% market share in the country’s highly competitive solar market landscape.
According to recent data from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Thailand added 470MW of solar in 2014, followed by 722MW in 2015, and 732MW installed in 2016 leading up to September. Thailand Solar Outlook 2017, a report from Bangkok-based law firm Pugnatorius Ltd., forecasts that 2017 will be Thailand’s “second solar gold rush”, with further industry growth expected as technologies continue to improve and costs fall. Sungrow expects to play a major part in Thailand’s solar market as investment continues to pour into renewables. “Sungrow remains committed to Thailand’s PV solar industry as a leading inverter provider with class-leading products and proven ROI. We as a company hope that other ASEAN countries can experience similar growth as the renewable industry expands globally.” said Prof. Renxian Cao, President of Sungrow.
