The bulk of her time is taken up with carbon project development and trying to encourage a circular economy in South Africa. “Energy is the low hanging fruit to creating to stimulus to encourage reinvestment into water nexus and reforestation and all the other waste areas we should be looking at,” said Dean.
Through her work with SAESA she is trying to address the lack of awareness around energy storage technologies and how these can help Africa’s energy transition.
