French tender for innovative solar projects awards 173 MW – EQ Mag
The French Ministry of Ecological Transition has designated the winning status to 172.9 MW of projects in a tender for innovative solar photovoltaic (PV) installations.
A total of 66 candidates were successful in the first competitive round of its kind under the country’s PPE2 subsidy programme, the government announced on Wednesday.
The tender was open for ground-mounted, rooftop and agrivoltaic proposals with individual capacities of between 100 kWp and 3 MWp. The average price of the winning bids came at EUR 84.46 (USD 88.94) per MWh.
The list of winners includes France-based Technique Solaire Invest, Albioma SA (EPA:ABIO), Qair and Iberdrola Renovables, a local unit of Spanish utility Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE). The names of all selected developers and their projects can be seen on the government’s website.
With the PPE2 initiative, France seeks to allocate almost 29 GW of renewable power generation capacity through 2026. The overall capacity sought to be awarded via the tenders in the category for innovative solar projects is 700 MW.
