The major steps taken by the Ministry for imposing Ease of Doing Business in renewable energy sector, inter-alia, include the following:-
Issuance of Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Procurement of Power from Grid Connected Solar PV Power Projects.
Implementation of Dispute Resolution Mechanism.
Permitting Letters of Undertaking from specified Financial Institutions under MNRE & Ministry of Power as alternatives to Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) / Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG).
