Powin, an energy storage platform provider, and Chinese battery supplier EVE Energy signed a supply agreement under which the latter will provide 10GWh of battery cells for the former’s energy storage project. The signing of the supply agreement was announced on June 15. EVE Energy stated securing the order from Powin is an indication that it has attained international recognition for the performance and qualification of its products. The supply agreement will contribute to strengthening of EVE Energy’s position in the energy storage market and further enhance the company’s overall competitiveness. Working with Powin will also expedite EVE Energy’s efforts to internationalize its business operations and provide world-class services.

EVE Energy has also recently disclosed the progress in its efforts to form strategic partnerships with other companies involved in the battery industry chain over the past three years. EVE Energy is actively cooperating with other companies in numerous projects for manufacturing NEV power batteries and battery recycling.

The collaborations that are taking place include the EV strategic cooperation framework agreement with StoreDot, the MoU with GEM for recovering 10,000 tons of nickel from battery wastes, the cooperation agreement with Yuntianhua for developing a complete industry chain for batteries intended for new energy applications, and the procurement framework agreement with SMOORE.

It is also worth mentioning that early on April 23, Powin announced that it would be procuring 3GWh of REPT Battero’s LFP battery cells within the next 12 months. Powin said the procurement agreement was signed after REPT Battero’s products have passed through rigorous qualification process.
