In Short : CONCOR and Schenker India have entered a collaboration for EXIM and domestic business. The partnership aims to enhance logistics services and streamline operations for both companies, fostering growth and efficiency in the export-import and domestic sectors.

In Detail : Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and Schenker India (DB Schenker) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 19 December, 2023, at New Delhi to collaborate for EXIM as well as domestic business.

The MoU will contribute to sustainable supply chain practices in the logistics industry. DB Schenker offers international air & ocean freight, land transportation, contract logistics, fairs and exhibitions, and industry solutions under a single-window system.

Earlier, CONCOR and NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) had signed a MoU to explore the possibility of setting up PV solar renewable energy projects in CONCOR terminals, towards promoting sustainable and eco-friendly renewable solar energy. This is in alignment with the government’s commitment to achieve a 500 GW renewable energy target by 2030.

CONCOR is engaged in the business of providing inland transportation of containers by rail. It also covers the management of ports and air cargo complexes, and setting up of cold chains, and has a pan-India presence at 64 container terminals.
