In Detail : IFC has appointed Vikram Kumar as the Regional Industry Director for Infrastructure and Natural Resources in Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, Kumar will leverage over 20 years of global investment expertise to enhance IFC’s strategy on sustainable infrastructure. Kumar has previously served as IFC’s Global Transport Manager.

In a notable appointment, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has named Indian national Vikram Kumar as its Regional Industry Director for Infrastructure and Natural Resources in Asia-Pacific. He will commence his role on July 1, based in Singapore.

With over 20 years of global investment and development expertise, Kumar is set to spearhead IFC’s initiatives to provide sustainable infrastructure to both businesses and residents in the region. His responsibilities will include leading IFC’s investment teams to develop and implement pivotal projects in sectors such as power, water, telecom, and transport.

Kumar’s extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to amplify IFC’s impact across Asia and the Pacific. His previous role as IFC’s Global Transport Manager saw him triple IFC’s investments in the transport sector in the financial year 2023.
