In Detail : The 4th Global Renewable Energy Investment Meeting and Expo (RE-INVEST) will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 16. Organised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the three-day event will be held at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
This summit is set to host over 40 sessions and 25,000 delegates from 140 countries. More than 200 speakers will participate in 5 plenary discussions and over 115 B2B meetings.
Partner nations for the event include Australia, Denmark, Germany, and Norway, while key partner states include Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana.
High-level delegations from the USA, UK, Belgium, the European Union, Oman, UAE, Singapore, and Hong Kong are expected to attend the summit. Financial institutions, investors, startups, and leaders from the global renewable energy sector will also be present.
The three-day event will cover a wide range of themes, including scaling green investments, green hydrogen for decarbonization, and onshore wind energy. The summit will also focus on India’s strategy for expanding solar and wind projects, achieving net-zero emissions by 2070, and generating 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030.
