Serentica Global planning 10 GW renewable energy project in Andhra Pradesh – EQ

In Detail : The representatives of Serentica Global, an affiliated company of Vedanta Group, on Thursday said that they were formulating plans to establish a 10 gigawatt (GW) renewable energy project in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, held a meeting with the Serentica Global representatives at the latter’s office in Mumbai on Thursday and discussed with Serentica Global officials the possibilities and requirements to establish the energy project.
After the meeting, Lokesh said that the N Chandrababu government in Andhra Pradesh welcomed corporate companies and investors like Serentica Global as it strives to achieve the target of producing 72 gigawatts of energy by 2030 in the state.
Lokesh, who is also the son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu, said that their government is planning to provide employment for the youth on a large scale by establishing a wide range of renewable energy projects.
