Datta Infra inks MoU with the Rajasthan government to invest in renewable energy projects – EQ
In Short : Datta Infra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to develop renewable energy projects. The investment will focus on solar, wind, and hybrid energy systems, enhancing Rajasthan’s green energy infrastructure. This collaboration supports India’s clean energy transition, aiming to boost sustainability, reduce carbon emissions, and generate local economic growth.
In Detail : Datta Power Infra has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Rajasthan to invest $602 million in developing 1,000 MW of wind, solar, and wind-solar hybrid projects. The agreement was formalised during the Rising Rajasthan 2024 event.
The proposed projects will be implemented in districts including Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Nagaur, Pratapgarh, and Jodhpur. These installations will connect to the state transmission utility and include projects under the KUSUM Scheme.
Datta Infra aims to increase its renewable energy portfolio by 30 per cent over the next five years. The company anticipates short-term benefits to the regional economy and growth in revenue by the end of FY 2025.
Datta Infra has previously completed over 2,000 MW of renewable energy projects in Rajasthan, including site development, transmission lines, and civil works. Its services span the entire project lifecycle, covering project planning, land acquisition, engineering, procurement, construction, transmission, substation development, and operations and maintenance.
