Qualification : Mechanical engineering (Must) with MBA in Supply chain (Optional)
Experience :
A Supply Chain professional with Vendor development, vendor quality, purchase and logistics acumen & having 10-15 years of experience. Exposure in Engineering Businesses will be preferred.
Role Summary :
– This position will be responsible for complete Supply Chain function with your Strategic Business Planning & Implementation expertise for Solar Agro Pumps & Irrigation Systems across India.
Key Skills – Must to have :
– Working knowledge of SME Business Sector/Startup Environment, Scaling up of business
– Managing Supply chain & Effective Analytical skills
– Have hands on experience on CNC machining preferably Stainless steel machining
– Good oral and written communication skills
– Commercial awareness
– A flair for negotiation and networking
– Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
Good to have :
– Worked on EMS projects
– The ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships
– An excellent standard of numeracy in order to analyze facts and figures
– Production planning and customer order planning
– Logistics planning
Job Responsibilities :
Supply Chain Operations :
– Technical guidance to vendors in case of quality and quantity issues
– Conduct supplier audits
– Keep a constant check on stock levels and forecast demands along with sales
– Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
– Liaise between suppliers, relevant internal departments
– Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
– Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
– Process payments and invoices
– Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
– Develop a purchasing strategy
– Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors
– Suggest alternate process and material to design team
– Train and supervise the work of other members of team.
– Cost reduction year on year from the sourced components
