Al Ameen Green, Russian company to set up 100 MW solar in TN
Chennai-based Al Ameen Green Energy has tied up with a Russian company Miyota Power for setting up a 100-MW solar power plant near Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, according to a report in Russia and India Report. The report says that Miyota Power will invest $80 million in the project and will also build the plant on turnkey basis. Documents filed with the Registrar of Companies show that Al Ameen Green was incorporated in 2013 and has paid-up capital of ₹50.37 crore.Miyota Power India has an office in New Delhi. According to the Russia and India Report, Miyota itself is a joint venture of two Russian companies — state-owned JSC Minneftegasstroi, which is into construction of oil pipelines and gas processing plants, and Akis Tech, which specialises in project development, financing and operations and maintenance of power projects. Miyota, the report says, also has a joint venture with Russia’s Hevel group, Renova group and OJSC Rusnano for production of solar PV panels in India.
