The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved the following project:
India – Shared Infrastructure for Solar Parks Project
IBRD Loan: US $75 million equivalent
Terms: Maturity = 19 years, Grace = 5 years
Clean Technology Fund Loan: US $23 million equivalent
Terms: Maturity = 40 years, Grace = 10 years;
US$2 million is an interest-free CTF grant.

Project Description: The project will establish large scale solar parks in the country and support the Government of India’s plans to install 100 gigawatts (GW) of solar power out of a total renewable-energy target of 175 GW by 2022.
