Site Manager – Tamilnadu (solar O&M)
Job Description :
Ensure adoption of best in class processes for optimum utilization of capacity at designated Solar farm / installation.
Ensure requisite balance between long-term viability of the plant and operational optimization.
Minimize cost of power generation and ensure high efficiency, availability at the plant through stringent monitoring of operations and maintenance.
Ensure that the solar plant is operating at the highest levels of efficiency in all dimensions including output, uptime, quality, safety and overtime costs.
Periodically review the output and availability and oversee smooth operations of the plant.
Review finalization of plant operating parameters, drive optimum generation (as per requirement) and ensure that forced outages / breakdowns do not occur.
Conduct trend monitoring and analysis of the plant energy generation performance.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual generation performance and comparison reports and review with Head, O&M.
Ensure preventive maintenance of all installations at the plant and ensure compliance with regard to all quality checks.
Ensure security and upkeep of the installations (including washing of the modules) at the plant.
Ensure anytime readiness for plant inspections through adherence to quality norms.
Oversee on-time maintenance / replacement of Modules, Inverters and other BOS parts and in case of any issues, coordinate with the Solar Sourcing and Procurement teams during renovation and maintenance, plan capital expenditure and monitor progress of budgeted jobs .
Oversee soil testing and landscaping at plant and ensure upkeep of plantation as per agreed levels.
Establish processes to periodically review operations to ensure high production efficiency, quality, service, manpower productivity as well as cost-effective management of resources.
Ensure regular and accurate metering, billing and timely settlements and collections with the state utilities and the consumers; resolve issues related to billing and settlements and escalate to O&M Head, as and when required.
Ensure compliance to norms set by regulating agencies for solar power generation incentive schemes and ensure collections from utilities under this scheme in coordination with the procurement & contracts team, award O&M related contracts and manage all O&M related contractors at site.
Ensure that plant operations and maintenance activities are in compliance with SOPs and company policies.
Ensure that cost of power generation (per MW) does not exceed the budgeted cost
Ensure that operating expenses for solar farm / installation are within the allocated budget.
