TSSPDCL signs MoU with Freyr Energy
Hyderabad: Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) signed MoU with Freyr Energy, a Hyderabad-based solar service provider, for supply and installation of rooftop solar projects on their department offices and substation government buildings in Medak and Nalgonda.
The total capacity of the project is 300kWp in Medak and 290kWp in Nalgonda. The duration of the project is estimated at 12 months. Freyr Energy nearly completed the site survey of the allotted sites and TSSPDCL saw submission of four energy companies against the floated tender.
Talking about the MoU, Saurabh Marda, Co-founder, Freyr Energy said, “The State government’s actions in the direction of harnessing solar power and paving way for a cleaner world is commendable.
We are happy to be a part of their solar movement. It is a good move by TSSPDCL to first solarise its own buildings as this will help the public understand the importance of solar power and will encourage them to solarise their premises.
Solar Policy announced by the State government in 2015 encourages private public investment and increases grid and off-grid solar applications with the use of all possible technologies along with effective energy conservation measures.
