India Crosses 150 GW RE Installation Mark.
India has completed the installation of total capacity of 150 GW. It includes renewable sources of energy like solar, wind and hydro power.
In a Twitter post by the official account of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the ministry made this announcement. The post read, “A remarkable moment of celebration for the people of India as the total installed renewable energy capacity crosses the mark of 150 GW (including hydro).”
This news comes as a major milestone after the honourable Prime Minister’s net zero commitment by 2070 at COP26.
