Abengoa is awarded the interconnection works for a wind farm in Argentina
The company will be responsible for the electromechanical installation of a substation and the section of line for a wind farm that Aluar is to develop in the east of the country.
Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, has been chosen by Aluar, the company engaged in the aluminum sector, for the electromechanical installation of a substation, and the section of line that proceeds to a wind farm that Aluar is building in Puerto Madryn (Chubut), in the east of the country. This will supply clean energy to a plant owned by Aluar.
Abengoa will be responsible for providing resources, materials and equipment for the electromechanical installation of the 33/132 kV substation and the interconnection 132 kV double ternary line, 24 km in length.
This contract serves to enhance market confidence in addition to strengthening the company’s position in developing electrical installations worldwide. Abengoa has been present in Argentina for more than 50 years and has carried out major projects in all the sectors in which it operates, mainly in the area of energy transmission and distribution.
