New Delhi: The country’s leading independent power producer ACME has commissioned its 200 MW solar power plant in Bhadla (Rajasthan). With the commissioning of the Bhadla solar park, ACME’s total operating capacity in solar power now stands at 2.4 GWp and the company’s total portfolio of solar projects stands at 5.5 + GWp, making it the largest solar power portfolio in the country.
Mr Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Founder and Chairman of ACME Group said, “This is a significant milestone towards fulfilling the Government’s commitment of generating 100 GW of Solar energy by 2022. At ACME we are committed to leveraging the latest and most disruptive technologies to further the cause of solar energy in the country. This focus has enabled us to not only better commissioning deadlines but also lower our cost which is reflected in our bids at solar auctions.”
ACME won the contract for developing 200 MW at the Bhadla solar project with a historic low tariff of Rs. 2.44/unit till now in India. The project is designed using the latest 1500 V technology, features the world’s first 150% DC with CUF of 30% to produce the most stable power during the day. The project is spread across 1000 acres. Water less cleaning of modules have been planned taking into consideration the climate condition to enhance the generation from the plant.
The company has invested Rs. 980 Crores in setting up the Bhadla solar power plant.
