Adani Green Energy CFO Ashish Garg quits
In a BSE filing, the company indicated that Garg has tendered his resignation as CFO with effect from November 25, 2019.
New Delhi: Renewable energy arm of the Adani Group, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) on Monday announced the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ashish Garg with immediate effect in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
The company did not state the reasons behind resignation.
Garg worked for a total of two years and six months in the company, his LinkedIn profile shows.
Previously, Garg was the CFO of Skeiron Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd. He held leadership positions at Vedanta Resources and Essar Oil Ltd.
AGEL commissioned 450MW of new renewable capacity in the first half of the financial year 2019-20, taking its total operational portfolio to 2.4GW. With a further 2.9GW currently under construction, the company aims to reach 5.3GW capacity over the next 2 years. The government has renewable energy targets of 175 GW till 2022.
Following the news, the firm’s shares closed over 7 per cent on the BSE.
