
After bagging $550m project, Telangana in race for Foxconn’s EV manufacturing unit – EQ Mag

HYDERABAD: After having bagged the $550 million project to manufacture Apple AirPods and other accessories from Taiwanese electronics contract manufacturing behemoth Foxconn, Telangana is now in the race for its electric vehicles (EV) manufacturing plant as well.
Hon Hai Technology Group, more popularly known as Foxconn Technology Group, which has declared its intent to make India its third largest global hub for EV manufacturing and sourcing, is already talking to Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka apart from Telangana for the project.
Telangana industries principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan confirmed to TOI that the state is talking to Foxconn for the project.
