All drinking water supply schemes will be brought under solar power: Fadnavis

Nagpur: The chief Minister Devendra Fadvanis on Saturday said that all the drinking water schemes in the state will be brought under solar power systems.
Using solar powered pumps for operating pumping stations would enhance financial sustainability of water supply projects.
“In the past four years, 20,000 water supply projects have been sanctioned and work started. The half completed 8000 projects are being completed. 10,000 more schemes have also been approved for providing pure and clean drinking water to people in state, ” Fadnavis saud.
