Job Description :
” Reports to:Solar Sales Head
Reportees (definition of role & responsibilities):
Following Process Owners (Processes)
1. Solar Panels& Retail Sales (primary responsibility)
Projects&Products Salesexperience would be useful(secondary responsibility)
2. Execute Solar sales strategy for the territory
– Competitor analysis and close watch on competitor strategy in the identified and focus market segments
– Key Client Engagement for Enquiry Generation/Business acquisition
– Analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends
– Order lost analysis and inputs for strategies to increase hit rates
3. Managing sales of Panels, Products &PV rooftop, solar power solutions, Solar Institutional Sales, Private Customers, Government tenders
4. Could have multiple experience (UPS and Battery sales)
5. Channel Partner, Distributors and Marketing Network Development
6. Close watch on tenders floated, analysis of tenders and participation in tenders
7. Pre tender work
8. Order completion and collections
9. May need to arrange for Project funding and financial modelling for Solar Projects
Job Purpose: Creating Sales network and prospects, topline responsibility for project and panel sales and end to end handling of customers,from prospect identification, solution selling, demo, project closure and collections
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Achieving sales targets
Execution of Solar Sales Strategy
Working with engineering and creating a viable solution for the customer where requried
End to end sales responsibility
Appropriate administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison
Collections and cash flow maintenance of projects
Order lost analysis
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
1. Weekly report to L1 (Plan versus actual as agreed with L1, deviations, reasons thereof & corrective measures)
2. At least a bi-weekly meeting with team
3. Interactions with engineering teams
4. Time Deviation Study (monthly) time spent on non-core activities
5. Focus only on key deliverables as highlighted in the Job Purpose to ensure satisfactory KPIs
6. Circulate MOM after Internal / External customer meeting
