CHENNAI: As social distancing becomes a byword in the post-pandemic scenario, electric scooter makers are already pitching their products for personal and B2B/B2C usage.
Ampere Electric Vehicle, a wholly owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, has announced an eco-friendly campaign “Kal Ko Bachao.” This social wellness-driven campaign is backed by special customer packages to help customers and corona warriors consider Ampere electric scooter to fulfil their core mobility requirement.

The company says its higher speed scooter Zeal is a “good alternative to traditional petrol scooters, as it offers great torque, speed, comfort and overall performance.” The product is now a popular for “heavy duty applications such as ride share and e-commerce home delivery applications such as Big Basket and others,” said the company statement.
“The lower speed variants are suitable for school and college going students, housewives, senior citizens who can drive these scooters without license.”
Using personal mobility is good for social distancing, said the company statement. “Higher usage of personal electric scooters encourages social distancing without the need of queuing up at petrol stations,” said the statement.
