Amtech Announces Follow-On Order for Next Generation Solar ALD for PERC Cell Lines

Amtech Systems, Inc., a global supplier of production equipment and related supplies for the solar, semiconductor, and LED markets, recently announced its solar subsidiary, SoLayTec B.V., has received a follow-on order for three next generation solar ALD systems. The order is from a solar cell manufacturer in Asia and is expected to ship within the next six months. SoLayTec has booked 22 ALD system orders since its inception, of which 15 are for mass production. Fokko Pentinga, CEO and President of Amtech, commented, “This latest order is another indication of the growing recognition in the solar industry of the outstanding performance of SoLayTec’s spatial ALD system to improve the cost of ownership of our customers’ PERC cell processes.”
