APEPDCL to give subsidy on solar
The APEPDCL has been providing solar pump sets at subsidised price to farmers who are approaching them directly.
Kakinada: The APEPDCL has been providing solar pump sets at subsidised price to farmers who are approaching them directly. According to Kakinada APEPDCL divisional engineer, Nallam Udaya Bhaskar they have been providing this facility to farmers.
Out of the total cost of Rs 4.20 lakh solar pump set with solar pans, we provide subsidy to the tune of Rs 3.70 lakh. The rest of Rs 50,000 has to be borne by the beneficiary farmer. In case of the farmer wants to avail the benefit under NTR Jalasiri, which was being extended for small and marginal farmers Rs 30,000 subsidy will be extended by DWMA [district water management agency].
In that case the farmers will have to pay Rs 20,000 only. We have been extending this facility since last three years, East Godavari the DE said.
