In Short : Apraava Energy has commissioned a 250.7 MW wind power project in Gujarat, enhancing India’s renewable energy capacity. The project aligns with the country’s clean energy goals and will contribute to reducing carbon emissions. With this addition, Apraava Energy strengthens its commitment to sustainable power generation and supports India’s transition toward a greener future.

In Detail : Apraava Energy commissioned its largest 250.7 MW wind power project in Sidhpur, Devbhoomi Dwarka district, Gujarat. The company won the project in the Tranche VIII wind tender, which was supported by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Managing Director, Apraava Energy, said, “I am incredibly proud of our team, our OEM partner, Suzlon, and our local project development partners for their dedication to maintain the highest operational standards in completing this project. Gujarat remains a pivotal hub for expanding our low-carbon energy portfolio, and we thank the state for its constant support.”

Expanding renewable energy

SECI has granted the Sidhpur wind project a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) at a competitive rate of INR 2.83/kWh. Technologies like sophisticated fire suppression systems and wind turbine generator condition monitoring systems are incorporated into the project.

In Sidhpur, Apraava’s community projects help 12 villages with livelihood, water, sanitation, and women’s empowerment. Strengthening village institutions, improving farm livelihoods, guaranteeing water security, managing natural resources, empowering young people, and assisting women’s self-help groups are some of the main initiatives.

Apraava runs two wind projects in addition to the Sidhpur wind farm: a 100.8 MW project in Samana and a 50.4 MW project in Mahidad. Additionally, the business was been given a contract to install almost 2.3 million smart meters in Gujarat.
