Construction for the 2020 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station Upgrade Project is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 24.

The City of Arcata is partnering with ChargePoint on this project, and work involves upgrading the existing EV charging station in the parking lot on F and 8th Streets to include four EV charging stations.

Construction for this project will take place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on some Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Work for this project requires the closure of the northernmost row of parking spaces in the F and 8th Street parking lot. On days of scheduled work, members of the community are encouraged to follow all directions and traffic control devices within the project area.
