Arla Meals to energy dairy manufacturing facility in Bahrain with photovoltaic power – EQ Mag Pro
Denmark – based dairy cooperative Arla Meals has constructed a 1.7-MW photo voltaic plant in Bahrain which is able to partly cowl the electrical energy wants of its manufacturing website within the capital of Manama.
The electrical energy produced by the photo voltaic cells put in on an space of 8,000 sq m (9,568 sq yd) can be sufficient to fulfill about 20% of the manufacturing facility’s annual power consumption. The commissioning of the plant will minimize the manufacturing website’s carbon footprint by 1,600 tonnes per yr.

Arla Meals acquired the manufacturing website in 2019 from Mondelez Worldwide (NASDAQ:MDLZ). Now, it produces about 80,000 tonnes of cheese and cream merchandise with the majority of the merchandise bought within the Center East and North Africa.
