Assam CM Discusses Clean Energy Goals with Industry Leaders In South Korea – EQ

In Detail : GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held an in-depth discussion with Mr. Young Ha Ru, Vice President of GS Group, a leading South Korean company in renewable and clean energy.
The meeting centered on Assam’s ambitious target of generating 3,000 MW of clean energy by 2030. Both leaders discussed working together and highlighted the need to build partnerships and train skilled workers to support Assam’s growing renewable energy sector.
Earlier, CM Sarma started a five-day visit to South Korea and Japan. He also spoke at the Advantage Assam 2.0 roadshow in Seoul. CM Sarma held a productive discussion in Seoul with Kyungsung Kang, President, Eunyoung Yang, Director General, Hanseung Kim, Director and other delegates from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
Addressing the gathering, Sarma said Assam was emerging as a vibrant investment destination, “We respect Korea’s remarkable development and strength in manufacturing.” Today, we are here in the Republic of Korea to invite industries to collaborate with us.”
The Chief Minister announced that the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment Conclave is scheduled for February 25 and 26 in Guwahati, with participation from prominent Indian industrial houses, including TATA and other major players already operating in Assam.
