Avaada Energy has won a 560-MW solar project bid for the supply of solar power to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL).
The power purchase agreement (PPA) will be signed between the two entities for 25 years, and the project will be commissioned within 18 months.
The plant is expected to generate about 951 million units annually, which will potentially reduce 8,85,563 tonne of CO2 equivalent emissions annually. About seven lakh households will be benefited with green energy, as a result.
Maharashtra with its green future commitment is key to Avaada Energy’s efforts in the power sector. Avaada Energy, an arm of the Avaada Group, is an integrated energy energy enterprise with business interest which spans the energy transition value chain.
