Azure Power files petition to extend LTA start date and deadline for completion of transmission line.
Azure Power India Private Limited and 3 Ors. filed a petition seeking directions from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission to Power Grid Commission of India Limited (PGCIL) to extend the Long- Term Access (LTA) start date and extend the deadline for completion of the Dedicated Transmission Lines (‘DTL’) and Pooling Substation (‘PSS’).
The hearing was held on April 27, 2021 and the case was called out for a virtual hearing. The commission passed its order after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners.
The Petitioner is required to serve a copy of the Petition on the Respondent (PGCIL) immediately, if not already served. The respondent can file its reply, if any by May 24, 2021 after serving a copy to the petitioner. The Petitioner can file its rejoinder, if any, by June 21, 2021.
The official notice mentions that the petitioner is permitted to file an additional affidavit to bring on record the subsequent developments as prayed for by May 14, 2021. Central Transmission Utility (CTU) will not take any coercive actions against the petitioner during the pendency of the petition.
The notification also states that the submission of the learned counsel for CTU was taken on record. The petition will be listed for hearing in due course and a separate notice will be issued for the same.
