BGRIM named best solar power developer in 2019
Bangkok BGRIM: B.Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM)’s Phu Yen TTP Joint Stock Company was awarded the 2019 best solar power plant project developer from the International Finance magazine.
The award by the leading international business journal recognises the company’s initiation of operation with expertise and advancement which plays an important role in economic and social development.
BGRIM is the only private company from Thailand that has been awarded for its solar photovoltaic power facility that is located in Vietnam this year.
The scheme, undertaken by Phu Yen TTP, is situated in Phu Yen province, south central coast of Vietnam, with a capacity of 257 megawatts (MW).
The commercial operation from the solar farm started on June 10, 2019 with the commencement of supply to the grid of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), the buyer, under a 20-year sale accord that fixed the Feed-in-Tariff rate at 9.35 US cents per kilowatt hour.
The past year saw several projects and executives being honoured with awards from various institutions which underscore well the company’s capability and potential in pursuing energy business.
But BGRIM does not rest on its laurels but is actively pursuing a target to boost aggregate production capacity to 5,000 MW by 2022.
BGRIM’s current portfolio of projects already in commercial operation and those under construction and development stand at 3,245 MW.
