Bosch launches app to give EV drivers access to pan-European charging networks
With the free smartphone app Charge My EV from Bosch, drivers of e-vehicle can charge flexibly and transparently on the road – without any compulsory contract term or service charges, the company said in a release
New Delhi: Global Automotive parts supplier Bosch has recently developed an app – Charge My EV- that offers electric vehicle drivers an access to 150,000 electric vehicle charging spots in 16 European countries.
With the free smartphone app Charge My EV from Bosch, drivers of e-vehicle can charge flexibly and transparently on the road – without any compulsory contract term or service charges, the company said in a release.
Elmar Pritsch, president of the connected mobility solutions division of Bosch, says: “With our recharging services, we are developing a universal key to one of the biggest pan-European recharging networks. In doing so, we are making electromobility even more viable.”
Emphasizing on simplifying the recharging for everyone Pritsch added “Bosch’s smart recharging services are crucial for the widespread acceptance of electromobility.”
The new Bosch recharging service is a single sign-on smartphone app that can give access to 150,000 charging spots in the European region.
The company is targeting to include some 200,000 charge spots across Europe by the end of 2020.
According to Pritsch “In the future, recharging will be more than just filling up with electricity. The key for us here is a new personalization of the entire recharging process.”
