BPCL is planning to set up Electric Vehicles (EV) charging facilities at around 7,000 Energy Stations, in the medium to long term.

India’s second-largest downstream government-owned oil corporation who operates two large refineries in Kochi and Mumbai is divided into seven Strategic Business Units, Retail, Lubricants, Aviation, Refinery, Gas, I&C, and LPG.

BACKDROP

Back in 2018 July, BPCL inaugurated the first Electric Vehicle Charging Station installed at the Retail Outlet M/s Bhawanimata Kalamna Petroleum, Nagpur. Talking about a clean environment is one of the major steps that has been taken by the company.

Meanwhile, BPCL’s current distribution network is over 19,000 retail outlets (fuel stations). Further, the benefits will lead to stronger distribution. Not only this BPCL is also working on other segments along with renewable and biofuels to serve the nation more energy needs.
