Brazil’s Cemig to tender 41 MW of small hydro plants – EQ Mag

Brazilian utility Cia Energetica de Minas Gerais SA (BVMF:CMIG4), better known as Cemig, announced recently it will hold a new tender on August 10, 2023, to sell 41.2 MW of small hydropower plants (HPPs).
The company will auction a total of 15 small HPPs under a single lot with the minimum bid for the batch being BRL 48.2 million (USD 9.53m/EUR 8.74m).
The assets are owned by wholly-owned subsidiary Cemig GT and Horizontes Energia, located in Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina states. The list with the description of the assets is available here: https://www.cemig.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/31-03-23-anexo-a-edital-pchs.pdf
Companies have until August 4 to submit their proposals in order to participate in the tender and winners will be announced on August 22, 2023.
