State-run NHPC said Tuesday Baira Siul Power Station (180 MW) in Himachal Pradesh has been shut for next six months for “renovation & modernization of power station for its life extension” works.

Revenue from continuing operation of Baira Siul Power Station was Rs 124.69 crore in 2017-18, which contributes 1.798 per cent of total revenue of company during 2017-18, a BSE filing said.

* State-run power giant NTPC said Tuesday its Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh has been given additional charge of the post of chairman, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), by the central government on October 16, 2018.

PTC India operationalise flow of wind power from 249.9 MW plant in Tamil Nadu

* Trading solution provider PTC India Tuesday announced operationalisation of the second transaction for inter-state flow of wind power in the country.

The flow comes from 249.9 MW commissioned capacity in Tamil Nadu to beneficiary states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and BSES Rajdhani, PTC India said in a statement.

The power flow started from Green Infra Renewable Energy’s project located in Tamil Nadu to beneficiary states under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Wind Scheme (Tranche-I) of 1050 MW, PTC India added.
