BYD Atto 3 Electric SUV reaches dealership – EQ Mag Pro
After E6, Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD recently launched their new electric vehicle Atto 3 in India. The official prices for the same will be announced in November. The BYD Atto 3 is a mid-size SUV and it has already started reaching dealerships.
The BYD Atto 3 EV when launched, will compete with cars like Tata Nexon EV Max, MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV in the segment. Price for the BYD Atto 3 is expected to be around Rs 20-25 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the Atto 3 has already started and walkaround videos of the same are also available online. Here we have one such quick walkaround video that shows how this new EV looks from outside and inside.
The video has been uploaded by Gouri singh Rajput on his YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger shows the all-new Atto 3 SUV looks from outside and what all features does it offer. The BYD Atto 3 seen here in the video is finished in grey colou and unlike other electric SUVs that we have in the segment, Atto 3 has a very unique crossover like design to it. Like any other EV, there is no front grille. A chrome strip running through the width of the car has BYD badge on it. The sleek looking LED headlamps look like an extension to the chrome grille.
The bumper gets a muscular look with gloss black inserts in them. There are fog lamps available in the car. Coming to the side profile, Atto 3 looks like a well-proportionate vehicle with claddings around the wheels arches and dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, there is a very sleek looking all LED tail lamp with an LED connecting bar running between the tail lights. Just like the front, rear also gets a muscular looking bumper.
On the inside, Atto 3 gets Deep Blue and off-white coloured theme for the upholstery. The door pads and the cabin design looks premium and futuristic. It is definitely different from what we have seen so far on the electric vehicles. There is a fully digital instrument cluster, vertical touchscreen infotainment system, aircraft style gear knob and other switches on the center console, flat bottom steering wheels and so on. Other than this, the Atto 3 also gets features like automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, 360 degree camera, electric tailgate, wireless charger, blind spot monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, electrically adjustable driver seat, autonomous emergency braking, front collision warning, lane keep assist and rear cross-traffic alert. There is level-2 autonomous driving assistance that uses radar and a camera.
BYD is offering the Atto 3 in India only in single variant. There is a 60.5 kWh blade battery pack. This battery pack has a certified driving range of 521 km. The range comes down to 480 km as per NEDC cycle. The battery can be charged from 0-80 percent in just 50 minutes using an ultra-fast charger. The regular AC charger would take around 10 hours to fully charge the battery. The BYD Atto 3 is powered by an electric motor that generates 200 Ps and 310 Nm of peak torque. It can do 0-100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. The official prices for this new mid-size electric SUV will be announced in the market next month.
